Does that mean your parents did a poor job? Were they the ones that weren't acting like parents?

No, my father knew how to keep me in line. If I would have behaved how kids do today on airplanes, then my father would have dragged me to the lav and introduced me to the business end of his belt. Works wonders.

"Bye Bye, Airplane!" "Bye Bye, Airplane!"

Yeah, I think I'd go crazy, too.

You already know the answer to that question from me. It's not relevant, however.

So you don't have kids but yet you are a proficient, if not, expert on influencing child behavior.....

That's new.....

What do you mean today? I didn't realize there was noticable decline in effective parenting.... if so.. do you have a reference?

So someone should've taken this kid to the lav and shown him or used the belt? Where is a good patriarch when you need one!!

hmmm why go to the lav? Why not beat the child right there in the seat?

Oh...let me guess.... you'd repsect the child by not embarassing him by beating him in 'public'.... therefore the thin walls of the lav will totally drown out the cries and sounds of leather/brass on skin. (hint: run the flush motor..thats what I do when I beat my kids onboard.....) In addition, when the child leaves the lav, the crying, red bruises and behavior will be gone, a smile on his face and ready to fly.... despite the 11 hour delay...

I beat my wife in private too...... I mean she still has to walk around with the black eye.... but she's gotten pretty good at coming up with good reasons why its her fault.... maybe the kid can too.....

Not smart enough to be tolerant and/or effective so you use violence......

I just lost my appetite for lunch.......

Did anyone mention that maybe the little darling was jabbering during the safety demo? How loud was he jabbering? I'm with the flight attendant on this one. She is not the one who taxied back to the gate, cockpit made that final decision. The mom got her 15 minutes, and now she is milking it. Let's hear from the crew...probably a lot more to the story.

Based on your avatar your judgement is seriously flawed. If that were the case then the FA should/could tell every one to stop reading and talking and listen.....

Plenty of adults talk loudly during the FA demo briefing.. the worst is catty blah blah blah middle aged women.....
