Continental plans to continue aggressive hiring through next year. Apply online www.airlineapps.com or read info on Continental on www.continental.com New hires are mostly going to NY/Newark on either the 737 or 757/767.

All training is in Houston with the exception of new hire training occuring in Newark(INDOC) to accomodate the aggressise hiring and hotel space in Houston.

The growth is related to expansion in Europe, South America, Carribean, new routes, retirements and new aircraft orders. Continental continues to receive 757-300's from ATA in addition to 737-800's and 737-900's. 2 new 777's are also ordered.

Great place to work, great leadership, great co-workers and a lot of fun. If you know someone at Continental use them as a reference on the on-line application. Also attend an AirInc job fair if you don't know someone to give you an opportunity to meet recruiters. Next job fair is in ATL in Nov. www.jetjobs.com

Why do UPS & FEDEX attend Jobs Fairs anyway ?

You have to know 3 or more people who have flown with you to get an interview anyway....or have an internal recommendation......I would ASSUME that a lot of guys submitting resumes at a JF don't know anybody at either company, and have no chance of "breaking the code"..

It's like trying to become a member of the Illuminati.........

That's not always true. A guy in my class went to AirInc and didn't know anyone and got hired.
Plus, even if you know someone, going to the JF will help them put a face with a name. It's worth a shot if you are not getting called.
