I don’t know exactly what the consequences would be by leaving. I do see the consequences of being there now, and they are growing, as Mr. Bush’s stature is falling at home, and around the world. I guess I’d have to “guess” as to how our leaving now might be interpreted. I think they would be all over the board, depending on which individual, group, or government is doing the interpretation. It just might be that if we were to join in a dialog with the rest of the world rather than bully the rest of the world, we might get a lot more allies on board with the war on international terrorism.

It is a good question you pose though. But I’m just an old jarhead, and I’ll be the first to admit that I don’t have the sure fire, guaranteed vision of Iraq and the consequence of our leaving their soil. I’m not smart enough to know those things, but clearly, neither is George W. Bush.
