Compass webste says they are now activley hiring pilots. Minimum qualifications.....1500TT and 1000 multi engine.....good luck with that! Your thoughts??? Are they going to find applicants wth the mins set so high at that pay scale?????
 
Number of received apps is over a thousand. Most are people stuck in the right seat at a regional looking for an instant upgrade. I suppose they could get the extra 200 easily, with the mainline flow-up.

You might want to check with your source, again about the apps! Compass is not taking applications at this time.

I'm sure that's the F/O minimums. I wonder what the Captain upgrade minimums are? What does JB require as thier upgrade mins on the 190?

I tried looking Compass up and could not find their web site, did they shut it down for a while?
 
Just wondering....Wasn't the aim of this airline to help the NWA furlough's? Maybe that would explain the mins..

Just wondering what is wrong with the mins??? I have heard mins of 2500 and 1000 ME for absolute mins for captains and the 1500 hours one is for FO's. Seems realistic to me. Actually lower than what I would expect.
 
Anybody know what's the hold up?
They were going to start operations with one CRJ between IAD and MSP twice daily in January.
Also, they were suposed to start taking apps. by now.
 
Looks like Compass won't have a hard time finding pilots willing to come fly the "NEW SJS WITH POSSIBLE FLOW THROUGH TO ********************TY NWA."
 
Half the DC-9 fleet is gone soon, the new routes that were once, CRJ200, 200 DC-9; They are now 200, 200, 900, this results in a reduction of 40-50 DC-9s. These pilots will be moved into captain positions at compass and mesaba per the NWALPA contract. Compass is a poor choice even if it has a pretend flow through.
