Directly from the mouth from one of the hiring team members....internal recs are VERY important and weigh heavily in the process.

Aerop, to be competitive you need to pass all aspects of the interview. They are looking for well rounded individuals (both pilot skills and CS skill) and unfortunately (because 2 airlines failed just this week) at this time there is a large pool to draw from. To stay that anyone aspect is looked at more than the other, I think, would be a false statement. Folks are being turned away left and right because they are not making it through ALL phases.

You definitely want to bone up on the aviation aspects, it can be tough. As for the CS portion think about what it would take (hold yourself to a very high standard) to satisfy you if you were an owner should a problem arise and don't stop until the problem is solved.

As far as attitude, personality, you won't BS your way through that, you either have it or you don't.

Good luck.

I am going to go watch a movie in the airplane and eat my huge crew meal. The take a post lunch nap on the airplanes couch.

Tim

That has already been done by a Hawker new hire waiting on passengers. Glad to say he is no longer with us. It amazes me how he even got the job.

How the hiring process has changed in just a short time.

12,000 jet but no internal rec. and going on 5 months since the "app. accepted" email; I'd say the key to an interview is the rec.

One thing that did stick out in my INDOC with JungleJett was the diversity of our class.

IIRC we had 3 regional 121's, 1 Evergreen, 2 121(?) freight, 3 135's, and 1 91.

I don't think NJ is looking at a specific background. I do believe the above posters are correct in that they are looking for a well rounded package in customer service and piloting skills.

Whatever they do they do it well. We had a great group of guys that you'd have no problem spending a week on the road with. Everyone except those G200 guys!:D

If you have an interview date, you have a chance. Regardless of total time, ect, as long as your logbooks confirm that you meet NJA mins, you have your shot. You just have to be positive, proactive, and personable. And have good hygiene.

And those of you with less than 4000 hours that have a date need to thank your lucky stars because after today the things got a lot more competitive.

NetJets has thrown in the gauntlet with reference to Santulli's thoughts on XO Jet. Right now this is the place to be, and if you're still thinking about it, then you are way behind the power curve.

Apply!!!!

Take a deep breath, relax and see a joke when there is one there.

Breathing deeply here. I just think it is funny that you, I and everybody else would only joke about that and my sim partner thought there was nothing wrong with it. How he got hired I cannot tell you. I think it is sad that at one time not to long ago, people like that got hired and other quality pilots, with a lot more flying and customer service experience than this person, never got the chance to put on the gold tie. How things have changed.

On a side note, welcome to NetJets. What fleet did you get?
