goahead said:The rumor around IAH is that CAL isn't satisfied w/Colgan's service and is shopping around for someone else.

Especially one that worked there back in the glory days of no part 121, no sims, no work rules, no training program, freaken wild west man. Someplace, somewhere, some aged ex or current colgan pilots are sitting in a room, smoking pot, listening to Niel Young ......re-living the glory days.

Paris said:How about I rephrase then. CAL cares MORE about costs than service. This is the same reason they are looking for someone to fly your 145s right?

Noel (the Chief Pilot at the time)
This is a memo that I hate to write but I must- For Gods sake please talk to the commuter pilots about passing gas in the cockpit of the Commuter- They (some of them) seem to think this is a joke.
It is not a joke- It is not funny and if I am ever on one of these airplanes and this is done on purpose I will fire the man on the spot.
C.J.C.
Then there was another about boogers (yes, boogers) in the cockpit. One of the then very senior captains didn't believe in kleenex. Then there was the year that Chuck gave out Christmas turkeys (er, I mean memos authorizing you to get a turkey at Giant) in lieu of bonusses. They were out of the size allowed by the time I got there, so no turkey. That only lasted a year because another captain anonymously sent Chuck a chicken. The family in general does NOT have a sense of humor. An item to remember when dealing with them.
Those were some interesting times. For the record though, I HATE Neil Young music.

They are forcing out their existing maintenance to make room. As of yesterday, they posted a 2 million profit loss and stated that they will be asking people to take pay cuts. How could an F.O. on welfare take a pay cut?
