Will US air be the hiring Company if this goes through? This is crazy
 
How can there be 306 retirements in 2012 when retirements don't start until December 14th? I think you need to recheck those numbers - the Fair Treatment of Experienced Pilots Act was signed on December 13, 2007.

I'd have to say -yes
Based on retirement numbers, it'll be a solid place the next 10 -15 years-
Doesn't make up for the lost decade for many- but it's solid if you're young enough
 
If you think ALL those retirements will be replaced......think again. This merger would be another prime opportunity for reduction of labor and operational overlap. Get comfortable.
