I'll mark it down. But, JFK ain't happenin'. Unfortunately, that sh1thole Greensboro probably is, you know it is such an attractive place to live and everything (huh). Greensboro, say it with me......Grrrreeeeeensss..buurrro. Oh, hold on I think I have to hurl, oh, I am in Greensboro, I will just go in the hotel elevator........everybody else does, it already smells like pi$$ nobody will know the difference.
Whatever happened to Miami, Dallas, Los Angeles? What are we competing with Express Jet and NWA for worst pilot Domicliles in the industry?
No offense. Detroit, Memphis, Cleveland, and Newark are wonderful places.......they have inner beauty.

Do we even fly to Tampa still? That will be a sweet base, everybody deadhead out of TPA on Mainline to start a trip.

At least JFK has good eating options. They will probably have to hire captains off the street too. :)

I guess on the brightside, we can room with all 6 of the hot delta flight attendants, in the kew. Of course, the reserves will never be around to play house since they will be working all the time since the lineholders called in sick.

Someone told me that you guys used to go to Helena in MT, and that was strange to me. I thought you also went to BIL from CVG, but I wondered why you really only went to HLN from SLC. So, for some reason I keep harping on it. I have never been to Helena, so I don't know if you would miss it.

Helena was ok. There was a microbrewery a block or less away. They had good food too.
 
I'm going up to cvg to have lunch with fred. I got a couple of questions he can lie to me about. I'll post more this pm.
 
My bet is Fred's announcement is that "there is no announcement" and to try to put to rest the sell off rumor.

I dont think TPA will be on the list. ASA is expanding there very rapidly. TPA has been identified as one of our "focus" cities. If it works out, we might even open a base there, who knows.

How many displacements is THIS going to generate?

I'm fairly junior. If i'm displaced to JFK is the company going to buy my house in CVG? Pay for my relocation?

I can not imagine that Fred is dumb enough to believe that junior F/Os and F/As can afford to live in JFK. Rediculous.

In Fred's last on-line chat he was asked about a crew base. His response then was that Comair wanted to be "opportunistic" in the event a major carrier stopped operations.
That sounds like US Airways to me, and I doubt he was thinking about PIT.
Now, Airways is still clinging to life and that may preclude a major crew base with a lot of planes in CLT, but with the new rumor of several mini-bases could CLT be in the running?

I was there yesterday. Not that it's a reliable source, but a gate agent told me ASA is being replaced by SkyWest.

Well, there's spin. You see if the new a/c don't show up there will be displacements. Since most of the flight attendants live in cvg now, that is the angle managment is taking. If new a/c show up there will be much less displacements. But, yes eventually some a/c will be taken from CVG and the crews will go with them.
People can have a standing bid and a displacement bid in case they get kicked out of their seat, they can take anybody's seat junior to them.

I'll get more details later, the meeting is going on right now and my info is limitied.
