Hell NO. NEVER, NO way in hell. What is the drive for your love affair with the comair pilot group. They would NEVER do this for us if we were in their shoes. Proof is in the past:

We voted to hire furloughed alpa people during the last major downturn when we were hiring and allow the furloughs to retain their DOH at their original companies. COMAIR said if you come here you have to resign your seniority number and blew a big nasty green fart in every furloughed pilots direction. If we would have had guys on furlough at that time it would have been directed at us, just as it was toward everyone else.

JC Lawson and his senior cronies and former RJDC supporters (now I see the connection) who would benefit by your proposal are the same ones who turned a blind eye toward every furlough. If your proposal gets any positive attention, our ALPA leadership needs to be DISMISSED immediately.

from what i have heard, that was a comair company policy, not an alpa decision....

Yes, check out the APC board too. I don't see how this changes things. I guess they're going to talk to us about having to take pay cuts so we can be more competitive and diversify who we fly for. I don't know what else is in store for us. Apparently, September is going to be a bad month and we're going to get more bad news according to a poster over on the APC board. I don't know if Comair will be dismantled, but I can see them shrinking it more..it'd be nice to know what their future plans are for the company but I don't think they even know.

of course they know.....

congrats on the new arrival. Mesa blood at CMR. Yes, I think it's worse than you thought it was going to be

I left Mesa years ago, not looking forward to being a part of them again.....just saying, your right, this could be worse than i thought it would be.....

Here is a rumor I picked up yesterday. I am reluctant to post it becuase I do not want to be viewed as lending credence to it's actually taking place. I am just passing this along. Rumors abound and I have even heard a version of this one before, so...

We supposedly hear Sept. 1, Wednesday... the "big announcement" that we are sold and the buyer only wants 50 of our planes. This obviously brings up the question will the pilots (basically 500, only half of the list) go with the planes? If... IF this is true, than I imagine it is a moot point for most of us posting on here as we will be on the street either way.

Again, I hear that this is "solid." But, so were the other rumors and announcement dates that never come to pass. One thing is for sure, Delta is trying to sell Comair. How do I know? Because Richard Andersen said and I quote, "we want to sell Comair."

But to be slightly positive, this announcement in a way would not surprise me at all and I am still holding out for an announcement that no one has even talked about yet.... like Comair was bought with stimulus money and will crop dust tobacco fields in Kentucky. Time will tell.

It's true, a friend of mine works at NASA and that's the announcement. Not spacecraft per se, more like a biofuel test bed setup. We will be shuttling bureaucrats between DCA and IAH and TTS. Announcement won't happen until the 2nd, though.

oops, I changed it from ethanol burning space craft to crop dusters. I thought the space craft joke wasn't "accessible" enough humor for the FI masses.

I would love to do some low-level tree top flying in the rj.

I heard we are doing aerial applications, too, so I guess it works ;-)
