For a fact I know that they interviewd Sept 26th. A couple of friends of mine were there finishing thir interviews when they were escorted to the ramp to watch th 70 seater do the fast speed low pass, and then later were able to walk around and inside of the A/C.....

Now... do you think that the 14 guys/gals who interviewd that day and were able to see the first 70 seater got a good impression from the company???

Talk about motivation!!!

Rich!

I spoke with the VP Flight Ops for about an hour the other day. He told me 3 planes a month every month during '03 except one month we would only get two. At 5.5 crews per airplane that means we need 33 new pilots a month indefinitely just to keep up with growth. There will also a small amount of attrition due to a few retirements. Send in your resume.

Just about a month ago, the number of people for classes through the end of the year was going to total to about 100. Anyone who interviews now will likely not start class until next year, Jan or Feb. October has two classes. They had a lot of pilots from MCO to train and start on the Rj since they closed the EMB-120 base there, so that is the reason for the slower hiring rate. From my understanding, they will be looking at hiring 200-300 next year.
Comair is a great airline to work for, good luck.

Class Dates?

Does anyone know when the most current class of new hires were hired? I interviewed on 4-24-02, got the letter in the mail a couple of days later that said, welcome aboard...... don't call us we'll call you with a class date. I've been calling about once a month to try to see how things are going, but no use nothing. I have not called them in about two months because Sharon's voice mail was changed to, " If you are calling about a class date, we will call you when we have a set date." I've tried to do a little proding in the training department to see what I can find out but I'm always directed back to Sharon.
Any heads up you guys could give me would be great.
Thank you.

Hang in there Lance. You haven't been passed over. I think there are even some people from March interviews that haven't gotten here yet. With all the (projected) future class dates, you'll get called soon. All you guys in the pool, Hang In There, the life preserver is about to be thrown to ya:)!

Care to enlighten us poolies getting waterlogged with some dates? I haven't heard anything past Oct 21 except for the possibility of a small 28 Oct class. Maybe you know something???
