From the corporate side of the house...my prayers for all involved. These things take a piece out of all of us.

Allow me to represent the unemployed. No matter how much bitching we all do, there is no greater aspect of this profession I enjoy more than the camaraderie among pilots. God bless.

From everyone at Mesaba, our thoughts and prayers are with you all at Comair, I wish we could take the pain away. Peace be with you.

From those of us former airline now corporate folks, our thoughts and prayers are with the passengers, crew and families of flight 5191.

Godspeed and God Bless .

IMPRESSIONS OF A PILOT
Flight is freedom in its purest form,
To dance with the clouds which follow a storm;

To roll and glide, to wheel and spin,
To feel the joy that swells within;

To leave the earth with its troubles and fly,
And know the warmth of a clear spring sky;

Then back to earth at the end of a day,
Released from the tensions which melted away.

Should my end come while I am in flight,
Whether brightest day or darkest night;

Spare me your pity and shrug off the pain,
Secure in the knowledge that I'd do it again;

For each of us is created to die,
And within me I know,

I was born to fly.

Was in the flare when it came over the ops frequency yesterday. Something like this really puts into perspective that yes we have biases and prejudice against other companies for whatever reason, but I also wish that we could all go home safely at the end of the day. From your friends at ASA; God Bless, and here's to flying with your own wings.
