to all of you that have interviewed at comair lately. i have been told the average new hire has 3000+ total time with 2000 multi and some turbine experience. can someone shed some light on this, thanks.

That sounds about right, Jet. There are guys getting hired with less than 2500 hours, though (see the qualifications of guys who submitted gouges at aviationinterviews.com for example.)

I think it depends a lot on the quality of your experience (i.e. previous Part 135 or Part 121 experience in multi-engine turbines helps.)

Good luck.

do not feel neglected!!!!!

Hello 4traffic...........

Please do not feel like someone is raining on your parade!!!

I have tried for the past 20 months to get on at both Comair and ASA. I have blitzed the HR fax machines at both companies and handed out resumes at DFW, all to no avail.

I am a former Emery DC-8 driver w/several thousand hours of heavy jet and turboprop PIC.

However, I do understand the process..............I do not have anyone at these 2 companies for a recommendation.

Best wishes on this dreadful airline economy.
