Comair guys....what's up with this broad in the crewroom up there in JFK??? We, an ASA crew, was up there last week. A Comair CA heard that our flight was delayed 3 hours, so he invited us to hang out in their crewroom, which we did. As soon as we walked in, this broad behind the desk wanted to know who we were, why were we there etc etc....even said, "I hope they don't drink our coffee." Then, after hanging out in there for a bit, our CA asked her what the code was to get back into the crewroom because he was going to check on our flight and to use the restroom. She started in to him over how he can't have the code because he's not Comair etc etc.....she even had words with him out in the hallway accusing him of yelling and screaming at her! We have plenty of witnesses in the crewroom that know that never took place. She said she worked for TSA and that she was in charge of the crewroom. The original Comair CA that invited in us ended up apologizing for her behavior. Anyone else had problems with this broad!?!?!?

Sounds like she needs an attitude adjustment! What a Biiiiiiiiaaaaaaaatch!

Maybe it is D'Angelho's woman.

She is embarassing! I'm not based there but I've heard enough stories from the JFK crews to just shake my head in utter dismay and say I'm sorry you had to go through that. You're welcome there any time!!

She doesn't work for the TSA, she is jsut an office assistant.

Sorry she was a Biaaaatch, I don't think any of the pilots or FA's have a prblem with an ASA crew hanging out there cause of a delay. I know i don't have an issue with it.

She probably thought you were the CHQ E170 crew! :D

She's from New York, that should explain it!

CHQ doesn't operate 170s.

Oh, excuse me. That airline has more names than the artist formerly know as (and now again) Prince.

Call em whatever you want, they are all on the same list.

I'm a MCO based Comair guy, a few weeks ago we had a prob with TSA as well. We were leaving and was asked why we didn't have a JFK badge. I believe the Chief is looking into it, but you know how that goes.

I for one have no issues with ASA guys in the crew rooms, you guys have always been cool to us when we chilled in the one in ATL.

I've never paid attention, I don't know what they require up there. Who knows what TSA was talking about.

I don't think the TSA knows what the TSA is talking abot half the time.

Awesome, so you will remember that when one of them tries to catch a jumpseat and just go home right? OR are you one of those guys who belives that does your sh!t doesn't stink and girls actually "like" you.

Nah, I'm a commuter too, so I don't play those games...well, unless you are a Freedom guy. Then there had better be a seat for you in back. CHQ/Republic etc. can ride on my jumpseat.

My sh!t stinks just fine, especially after a burrito...and I'm married, so at least one girl "likes" me.

This sounds almost as bad as when the comair crew was turned away from the Christmas dinner in Atl during their computer fiasco.

ASA is more than welcome, I know that when we were in ATL a lot I was in their crew room quite often on our productivity breaks.

PS: The coffee sucks, you don't wanna drink it anyway.

The 'lady' in question is nothing more than a secretary, and she is awful...to CMR people too. The first time I was in there, she literally lost it when I unknowingly didn't put my bag up on the shelf. Of course, that only encouraged me to wheel it into the middle of the room and leave it.

Since when do crew rooms need people monitoring who goes in and out? If it's really that big a deal I'm pretty sure the crews themselves can get their point across (that whole thing with the different uniform logos and different IDs does kinda give away what airline you work for). And we wonder why all the airlines are going bankrupt.

That's almost as bad as the gate agents in STL checking TSA pilots' IDs when we go down to our crew room. Which is stupid because nobody in their right minds would go into that crew room if they could avoid it.

I assume Shuttle America/CHQ are not welcome?

That's horrible. Who told them no? Management or some pilots?

I was a non-rev on Thanksgiving Day, so I grabbed 5 extra meals from BL and CT and brought them to the MD-88 crew that I was traveling on. This whole, "it's my dinner, you can't have any" mentality is rediculous.

I think the issue got started along time ago when a Shuttle America or whoever flies the 170, crew had a break and they went banging on the door to the lounge and said "let us in, we want to put our bags in here".

They didn't really ask, more like demanded. Now I wasn't there that is just what the rumor I heard is.

This happened a while ago like in November too. Quite frankly I could care less as long as they are friendly, which most crews are.
