I am playing phone tag with recruitment about a 10 Nov class. I interviewed 24 July.

Got a message Monday night and told to call if I was interested. I called Tue morning to express that I could do the class. No return call. I left a message Wed again noting that I needed to resign from my current job with 2 weeks notice, but didn't want to do that without a class confirmation...still no call.

I don't want to pester them with 2 messsages already left, but resigning without a class actually confirmed seems risky to me. Any suggestions?

I think you are wise to NOT resign your current job, until you actually have a confirmed class date. That being said, I would not concern myself too much about the 'two week notice' etiquette. While that is a nice thing to do, you can't short change yourself by skipping a life career opportunity. Companies dismiss people all the time without notice to the fired or laid off person. It should not need to be a one way street.

Just my opinion.

I almost gave notice to my current employer back in September since I was told to expect Oct. class. Obviously that didn't happen. Glad I didn't now. Waiting is bad enough, but I can't imagine sitting around umemployed and waiting.
It is curious that they didn't call you back after calling and offering a class date.
A bird in the hand . . .

Hey guys and gals, I got the call for a November 10 class date on Thursday. I was a August 18 interviewee. Hope this helps someone.
