Comair Base in BOS?

I'm NOT trying to start any rumors. I was just curious if Comair has or has ever had a base in BOS. I see them over there all the time, and this morning I saw 4 CRJ-200s, 2 CRJ-700s. Then 2 of the 200s departed and 3 more came in in about 45 minutes time. Do they just do a lot of flights to CVG or what?

yeah, supposed to be starting a crew base there in September or somewhere there about.

Other rumors are MCO closing in not to distant future, and management is wondering why we have a GSO base.

They are pretty optimistic talking about new bases. I heard a rumor about dca as a base too. I guess they are assuming we will still be around by then.

Comair does a ton of flights out of BOS ( I think just as many or more than we do in JFK) to airports all up and down the east coast. As for the BOS base I hear they are shooting for June 1st, but end of the summer seems more realistic, if we are still around by then.

I have to believe we have more out of JFK than BOS. But I haven't been to JFK lately. It seems since i got put in GSO I do a lot of BOS overnites and turns. I would expect if a BOs base opens up GSO will shrink significantly.

I would kill to have a base there. If you can't tell I'm from there and would move back in a heartbeat. Best of luck to you guys getting a base there. I highly recommend it.

I was in recurrent lately and during a reprogramming session with Mr. Soaper it was mentioned that BOS, DCA and LGA as a co-domicile with JFK were posssibilities. It's all part of our program to cut pay and then live in the most expensive cities. Fun!

I don't think anyone knows, It is still a pipe dream. Though if MCO closes, I could see alot of those guys (very senior). Going to Boston, since there are alot of direct flights.

LOL! Management is wondering why we have a GSO base? Shouldn't that say, management is wondering why they decided to open a GSO base. Do they get drug tested too?

JUNIOR!!! Cost of living will stop most people. I lived there for 5 years and loved it, but couldn't afford a house.
