Hire most of your crews out of some small town in New Hampshire and they are just grateful to be working for an airline!!:smash:
One hasn't been voted in yet. The current ALPA drive isn't the first time a union movement has occured. There was one as far back as '00 shortly after I got hired there.
Historically the attrition rate has kept one off of the property. Also once upon a time there wasn't a need. Being neither management nor pilot group I don't really have a dog in the fight, other than to see the guys get some QOL improvements as well as protection for what little they have now, however it may happen.
XJT has 4 hour sits in CLE all the time. It's not a union thing.
That having been said, glad you're getting one.
it has been said 'the only thing worse than a union is a management that makes one necessary.'
the best approach is to inform yourselves as much as possible, then decide. get as much info as you can from others who are/have been represented by ALPA, Teamsters, or whomever.
best of luck.
