It's not.
Approximately 90 furloughed pilots were awarded a position on the most recent bid. They won't necessarily be trained for up to a year. That leaves approx. 300 pilots without positions.
ATR's are retiring in the middle of DEC, and all training between now and then is transition training from ATR to EMB-145.
COEX is gonna change pretty drastically:
Plan on spending 1-2 years on reserve as an FO (at least). Upgrade in 4-5 years (probably more), then 1-2 years on reserve as a captain.
The golden days of drastic movement are over (for now).
CAL is probably not gonna recall any pilots until 2004 at least....that means no one will be leaving the top of the COEX list unless it's to go to SWA (since no other major is hiring)
