Do you ride mtn or road or both?

Kinda both but primarily I ride/race road as I seem to spend quite a bit of time working on the dismount when offroad on the MTB! :D

As for the bike case, once again most have experience with a single bike case, ours carries two bikes and although it is the same length, it is twice the width, a bit taller, and much heavier when loaded (luckilly it is on casters) than comparable single bike cases. I will take your advice and head over to the local FedEx Kinko's and let them estimate the charges - thanks for the reply.

I've done golf clubs on both DL and UA recently.

Confirm they have the same but ask the ticket counter to check it all the way through, regardless of you. Unless it's int'l it should work.

Make sure the tag they're taping on says your final dest.

The past 2 times, I've taken other flights on other airlines even and both times my clubs have been there waiting for me.
