Has anybody heard of this unsolicited COEX bid to buy Pinnacle from NWA Corp?

Havn't heard much about it except a one page comment from the Pinnacle MEC Wake Gordan in a Pinnacle crew check in room.

Actually, it was not unsolicited. NWA came to ExpressJet (the company COEX does not exist any more) and asked if they were interested. At first XJT declined, but later decided to submit a very low-ball offer. After that, who knows? All we know now is that they are in SEC mandated blackout.

I also heard that Expressjet might try for Skywest.
I personally don't think it can happen.
Any thoughts?

"Silly"

sil·ly ( P ) Pronunciation Key (sl)
adj. sil·li·er, sil·li·est

Exhibiting a lack of wisdom or good sense; foolish. See Synonyms at foolish.
Lacking seriousness or responsibleness; frivolous: indulged in silly word play; silly pet names for each other.
Semiconscious; dazed: knocked silly by the impact.

Just to stir the pot regarding SkyWest but, with out a Union SkyWest Pilots would not have any bargaining power with regards to senority integration if they are the aquired carrier. However, I don't think that an ExpressJet/Skywest merger would happen any time soon.
