Did anyone apply for the COA/UAL openings?

Haven't heard of anyone I know doing so. It's sad their hiring all these new people to the CO side so they can pay them less and then make them continue to work under that pay structure in Chicago.

We had a few apply but we also had more than a few get hired there when our department was gutted by 45% in the last few years.

I'm guessing it still beats regional pay.

They are hiring 2 assistants and 10 dispatchers. 8 line dx's will be hired, since the current 2 assistants will be upgrading.

Proposed start date of March 12, but that can change.

One would think calls have started to go out if the march 12th class date is correct.

Calls are going out to off the street applicants now into next week

Mgmt is just backed up with other integration issues, things are expected to happen fast but all the ducks are in order for this coming class

I had a couple co-workers get hired on at United a few months ago and a couple more to Continental that are starting in that Mar class. None of them were from within and were all outsiders.
