Cleveland was also the culprit of arguably one of the worst promtions in Major League Baseball history, the 10 cent Beer Night promotion, which even horrified one of the leagues most glorified alky's one Billy Martin, who was the manager of the Texas Rangers at the time.
So while Lake Erie burned, or some river, or an oil derrick or all three at the same time, the good fans of Cleveland, some 70,000 counting women and children destroyed old Cleveland Municipal Stadium because they got drunk on 10 cent Stroh's and rioted because their crappy Indians were getting the crap kicked out of them by the Rangers on a warm June evening.

Cleveland is a hole. Remember the time Lake Erie caught fire?

Cleveland is NOT a hole... it's actually a pretty damn cool city with a lot to offer. Locals make fun of it all the time! Absolutely!!!

Look for the good before going after the bad. It's kind of like making fun of your friend's annoying uncle... your friend can make fun of him but not ok for you to make fun of him. People (a lot of them) live here and there's a reason for that.

It was a damn river, not a Great Lake that caught on fire. Long time ago before people figured out that the environment mattered. Get your facts straight before making fun of someplace you know nothing about.

We have a crappy football team, horrible baseball team, a mediocre AHL hockey team and an incredible NBA team and that's all for some of nicest people in the country... not an OUNCE of Atlantitude.

As for the airport, a transformer blew, shut down primary power for KCLE with all computers out but as the stupid local news reporter said "but did not cut off power to the uh... runways." TSA couldn't process anyone and while facilities were available, the fantastic all powerful Dept of Homieland Security couldn't get anyone TO the airplanes.

Still not even close to the blast that was "Disco Demolition Night" July 12, 1979. Look that night up. In between a doubleheader for the White Sox and Tigers at old Comiskey Park. Dang near a mirror image of Woodstock 69 as far as crowd control went....

Not to beat a dead horse and all that crap but Cleveland sucks
