Just talked to one the people in recruiting at Cinn. My class was 22 May (13 people) and it looks like it will be pushed back to June (target June 5th)....looks like they are going to push-back the dates two weeks at a time until the strike thing is settled.

airlinepilot..

About when did you interview? I was on Feb.21st, I thought they had said that the first class would be on May 29th....Correct me if I'm wrong.

I guess two weeks at a time isn't so bad. Better than 2 months at a time:D

I interviewed in Dec....was going to take a March class that go pushed back to the 22nd of May....there were 13 of us scheduled to start on the 22nd . They had classes scheduled for every week starting on the 22nd of May.

According to a Reuters report on Yahoo, an arbitrator/mediator (the article's writer used the terms interchangeably) has been assigned to the Bomabardier strike. The article says the arbitrator/mediator will meet with both sides in the coming week.

I have no idea if Canadian labor law permits binding arbitration in the same manner as the Railway Labor Act.

Fly safe!

Hey Slim,

Thanks for the insight. Anything is better than neither side talking.
Hopefully it will be over in a week or two or even three...

Not gonna give my two weeks just yet, but feelin better.:D
