Congrats on the CJ job. Its a fun plane to fly. $85 is not too bad if you put in perspective. I am a 5 year captain with a fractional making $66 with a 8 on/7 off schedule flying the CJ. I'm looking for a position like yours. Again, congrats and good job on the negotiations.

Eku,

I'm a Demo Pilot for the CJ series here in Wichita. If the plane you will be flying is a straight CJ or CJ1, then the Program Director for the CJ and CJ1 at FlightSafety (ICT) is Jerry Nash. He is also a examiner for the aircraft. PM me if you need anything.

SFG,

Well, looking at your aircraft types you have flown you should have enough time. They are looking to hire about three more pilots this year, then three more next year. With the Mustang coming on line, and the addition of another airplane (to be announced at NBAA). All of us will be busy.

One more thing. Customer Service is everything! In our position having tons of flight time is not what gets you hired. Knowing how to treat customers is. But it is a great job! You go all over the world. Fly brand new airplanes. Maint. makes every effort to give you a sqwak (sp.?) free airplane. Very fun job.

Is the new airplane the CJ4?

They had mentioned this during my CJ3 Initial this summer. It was pretty obvious they were coming out with this plane with the sucess of the CJ3.

We received the specs for it last week and I don't think the CJ4 is worth 8 mill soon to be 9 million when it actually comes out. Same range, I *think* only 18 inches longer, some wing sweep, single point refueling, and a 435 knots.

Our CJ3 does 430 so hopefully Cessna beats its numbers and this plane can turn out over 440.
