This came across my screen today.

Tell all your friends, if a corporate job is recruiting publicly, STAY AWAY!

What came across your screen is pure BS.

Most large corporations HAVE TO post the job publicly. Our HR department won't allow us to hire without doing so. Now whether or not they dip in to that applicant pool is typically left up to the department.

A Fortune 10 company ADVERTISING for a position?

WOW - they must be really desperate to keep up with mutiple people quitting every year.

I also heard from some dude on the internet that they are so short staffed and overrun with underqualifed people and egos that they have to fly their Gulfstreams single pilot!

Beware!

What's the latest on Citigroup hiring?

What's the current status at Citigroup? I have a friend with Falcon 900EX time and he is looking for a job in the NY area. Is Citigroup still hiring or still having attrition issues? What's the latest?

Are they still planning on adding Falcon 7Xs with their current financial situation?

Don't have any new intel about any Citicorp jobs but I saw an article in the March Business & Commercial Aviation magazine profiling one of their recent Global Express flights to Kuwait. One of the three pilots on the flight was a newbie who formerly flew CR7s or CR9s and one of the other pilots was about to retire. I wonder if the newbie knows how expensive it can be to live in that area (maybe he was a Mesa pilot based out of JFK and he was familiar with the high-cost). In any case, the attrition could be due to retirements.

Nice to hear that Citigroup would also consider some regional pilots vs. strictly corporate or military (even if the Global and CR7/9 are somewhat similar). I wonder if they will be adding any new pilots in the near term?

Really? They are about as similar as the G550 and G200, as in you can buy them from the same company. Other then that completely different.

Give me a break. Anyone who flies as a PIC on a CR7/9 could learn to fly a Global. Remember, glass is your friend...

but like most corp jobs, the actual learning of the airplane means little, its just another initial class.

How you adapt from regional-corporate environment is the big hurdle.
