He was terminated for being a no show at work. The company then found out the reason he was a no show, was because he was arrested.
I knew him personally and it's a big shock and a very sad situation. I can't grasp what made him take such a chance to make some extra money.
...says the guy with 310 time.![]()
Can one of you bookworms tell me how in the world is the captain flying commercial ops with a prior drug conviction?
I'm wondering the same thing. Anyone????
Hypothetically...
What does a drug run in a light twin pay?
Just wondering how this guy was compensated.
About $300 to $400 per pound. Unless you own the load then it could be much more depending on the quality.
But think of all of those poor Twinkies that you would be killing. That's some serious cheddar. A quick flight and you can chill out all year long.
420 lbs. X $400 = $168,000
Very tempting.
How would they know he was smuggling before he was arrested..
Tidbit of info
Maybe he could not produce the note because his grandmother died like 3 or 4 years ago.. I also heard that he told the plane owner that he was going to buy it. Seller agreed to demo it and he took it on the runs..
