It would be a nice benefit for CS to pay our benefits (as I said in the earlier post), but I want to see ALL employees have thier benefits paid 100% and not just the pilots. Does NJ pay the benefits of all full time employess or just the pilot group? While we are at it.....it would also be nice to have a pension plan!! :)

Nice post, Skylawyer...well said. Should we ever happen to meet at the aforementioned hotel bar, beverages for you and your partner are on me.

PS - The same offer is extended, of course, to my fellow dues-paying FLOPS Brothers.

I very much appreciate that, hopefully we will both have something to celebrate about when that time comes.

NJ pays for the benefits for all the emplyees. But, I do not know what the deal is the mechanics have? Does anyone know? I am sure it is close to what we have..I hope.

8 day tour....If IBB passes, then company can make you work one 8 day tour a quarter if you are on the 18 day schedule...

Just a small point of clarification. The bid periods are 4 months long, not 3 months (quarters). So if one spent a full year on the 18-day, he could have a maximum of 3 8-day tours in that year.

Of course, once 8 days are gone from a month, they can only work you at most another 10 days that month. You'll also get a minimum of 5 days off after an 8-day tour.

Thats right....`

I am waiting patiently also to see what happens here at shares. I have to go on record here and say that I don't think we can keep up with the jones' on this one. I very much enjoy working at shares, but I dont drink the kool aid and I call a spade a spade. We will probably get a pay raise that will just be diluted later with an increase benefits costs or a reduction of available overtime. We have a good deal here without a union, but we dont have the best deal in the industry. And our good deals are a result of the indusry changes that the guys in columbus push for. Giving Fo's a 1000 dollars a year over NJ fo's at the last TA and then calling us the highest paid pilots in the industry when we average 2200 dollars a year in benefits reduction. Ok let me stop because this is going down the wrong road. I am a CS pilot, but I am a pilot first and have gone down the same road as many in this industry. When the uniforms come off at the bar it amazing how great most of us get along. I'll go on the record here and say what I feel is the truth, if some dont like it then tough. I pray for NJ guys to get the best deals possible for themselves, while continuing to allow the company itself to prosper. Thats the only way things will improve for the rest of us. Good luck on your TA, and my family and children thank you in advance for my next pay raise.

Very well said Skylawyer.

Any day now......

LOL, I know. I have to admit that im a little anxious and slowly getting pissed off at the lack of response from the people in the bunker. But I have no choice but to be patient. MY guess is an announcement before Christmas with a Jan 1st implementation date to coincide the 401K. Any other predictions out there?
