What do you do in this situation?

Simple, continue the takeoff and bring it around the pattern using the pitch trim.

ERJ=Airbus=CHEAP!!!
How much time do you have in either of them? I have flown the CRJ, and now the ERJ. To be honest I have had a lot less problems on the ERJ. Never flown an airbus though so I cant coment.

Holly Crap! Yea, I think I would rather go off into a few feet of grass then continue the takeoff and try that.

Simple? Not hardly.

I missed this post before.
I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt and think that you must be joking. If you are not joking then wow, just wow.

Hey CHQ pilot,

I was the FO on that plane for the "test" flights. Test pilot from Embraer was with us, along with the MX guys. One of the tests was to fly at 160kts and run the trim stop to stop, while holding altitude. (Elevator is supposed to still have authority-I did not enjoy the flight)

Never did find a reason for the "dead spot", and the aircraft was returned to service-as is. (with the dead spot)

Haven't met a single person who's done it yet.

:eek:

If you (or your coworkers) are supposed to do a visual flight control check but don't then you (or them) need to quit being lazy, start acting like the professional you claim to be, and DO YOUR FARKING JOB.

God God people, this isn't rocket science...
