The CHQ flying for Continental has many unknowns and the XJT flying does too. Everybody needs to quit thinking that CHQ undercut XJT and that XJT or CHQ is better than the other. Management of both companies has done this. There were no pilot votes or concessions taken about the matter. XJT had the right several months ago to keep the flying, but opted not too. There are no scabs in this deal. GROW UP. And all you guys that don't know the details quit posting things to stir up the fire. I think just about every pilot on this site has bigger things to worry about (ie, $75/barrel oil).

Well said. As pilots, none of us had a hand in this. As an XJT guy I don't hold any ill will towards CHQ folks. Just please try not to rub it in on the hotel van.

Thanks.

be still my beating heart..somebody on this lounge actually stepped back took a deep breath and analyzed this situation rationally as opposed to starting a friggen civil war...THANK YOU GOD....

..well said the only thing is that the cost of a barrel of oil is not up to us so we really cant worry about it. Whats up to us is why in the hell do I keep paying $90.00 for a tank of gas... im gonna go buy a hybrid

thats sweet. So thats what it was like in the XJT crew room this week.

Couldn't tell you. When news such as this (or the initial 69 airplane announcement) hits, I avoid it like the plauge. Rumors run rampant. No one knows what they're talking about. Everyone is negative. It's not a happy place to be. I grab my stuff and leave. Having said that, though, I can imagine it sounds much like the above link. :D

Whoa buddy, not true. XJT management did not have a choice in the matter. They wanted the flying but CAL did not want them to have it.
