HIRE your own people---ASA gets nothing for loading your planes--we will be telling our guys to take their time with you special people---everyone needs to use that famous email list at Southwest and Airtran and let the mgmt. there know not to hire CHQ pilots...
 
I would expect that like most multi airline operational hubs under the one set of colors that ASA gets paid $200-300 per flight handled by ASA's ground crews.
 
That's too bad that CHQ is contracting it out. They give Xmas bonuses to their own employees and pay them better than most regional ground employees. I felt bad for the guys and gals in STL who got underbid by Trans States and probably went to the dark side with Uncle Huly. I'm sure they are paying for any and every ASA ground service they get.
 
In all my flying on Four code shares...no one comes close to the service that the STL guys provided. I wish we didn't contract the ground and gate out. We would have a 99 percent on time if that happened.

OH MY GOD, Some no name A$$ bag from ASA is gonna send an email to SWA and Airtran and tell them not to hire us. How will our careers ever survive??? I can see it now:

Interviewer: "Well sir, you are qualified, and you did very well on your interview, but a few years back you flew into ASA's backyard and stole their flying. Unfortunately we are unable to hire you at this time. Maybe next time you will think before flying your schedule."

Me: "I can't believe that is gonna bite me in the a$$ again."

Name one pilot group that has a say in who runs the ramp at the various airports they serve. I know TSA pilots didn't ask Huley to bid on the STL ramp operations. I'm pretty sure the CHQ pilots didn't ask ASA to handle their flights either. By the way CHQ guys, bear with the newbies, they work for the same company all the ticked off TSA pilots do, and I for one definitely wouldn't want to do their job. I'm actually surprised the transition hasn't gone a lot worse.

It is not the fault of the pilots, but CHQ bids at cost, or slightly below cost, to get flying. They have to hit their bonus money for on time and completion to break even. CHQ's business model is not sustainable without the cheap crews and new airplanes that come with growth. When CHQ stops growing, they will be in trouble.

Of course, so far, they have continued growing ....

They used to do AX services in STL, and I know they do the US Airways ground handling in IND. Prob do other places, too...

hahahaha wow...this is probably the stupidest thread ever created by anyone....and im a big fan of ASA too so this is a bit dissapointing....dude..you have waaaaay too much time on your hands....and i dont think myself or any other person who has ever worn a CHQ uniform for that matter knows or cares that we dont have our own rampers in ATL..granted should they get payed for working our airplanes..HELL YES they should...but do we have any power over it...HELL NO....fight the fights you can win man....way too much more important crap goin on in the world right now than to bother with crap like this...weak just weak...by the way I like Acey way better than Candler
 
Just so the genius that started this thread knows that next month the CHQ guys are going to be parking at B concourse since we are adding like 50 flights and need the room to park our planes at. Delta will be handling the CHQ flights at B. And yes this a stupid fuc_king thread
 
Hey genius, remember that the next time you go to a station and a Comair ground crew unloads and loads your plane.

Wow. I'm pretty sure the world is going to end because of that (and I'm only half-joking). Nothing like a constant reminder to the DL guys about how their scope clause is worthless until you start parking a shiny 170 right next to them...
