No offense brew, but I'll bet you 10 to 1 odds that this does not happen. As long as it says Embraer or Candair on the side of the airplane apparently it is a regional jet. If you want those larger airplanes you have to be willing to fly them for dogsh!t rates. The only way you guys might get paid remotely right is if CHQ is able to start its own independent airline, which I doubt DAL, UAL, US Air, and AMR are intrested in helping fund. The blur between mainline and regional is entirely in the size of jet flown NOT in the payscale/benefits. Until there are sweeping changes to this industry we will be dealing with that pain in the years ahead...brew3departure said:If CHQ drops the hammer and signs a good contract next time around with significant pay increases, the line between regional and non-regional will continue to blur, as it already has to some degree.
Is this a CFI talking, a freight doggie talking, or a newbie FO at another airline talking? Or "other"?cargojunkie said:im disappointed that chq is turning into a mesa. You fly this airplane so cheap that others will have to follow. Chq and mesa guys have to know how much every airline hates them.

Anyone know what the 170 is like from the cockpit door forward? Is it a performer or lacking in power like other RJ's, the CRJ 700 excluded.
Usual MACH number, usual range of altitudes, how does it do at the higher elevation places?
Anything has to be better than the juvenile name calling
I flew in it as a pax recently and it does not lack in power. I liked the acceleration and the flight deck looked nice and comfortable. I really was impressed with the automation - I think it is a Primus Epic system. It retains the "big airplane" feel of a larger aircraft - feels like an A319. JetBlue's larger 190s should be great to fly too - although the pay sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Russ said:Anyway........
