From what Rosa has told me, I and everyone else (for a while at least) will be Shuttle America on the E170. Hopefully, They'll work it out where we can go and fly the E170 for Republic, which will be the Delta side. Shuttle America will house United and Us Airways after they come out of Chap 11.

Why won't anyone be able to go from SA to Republic? I understand why the company would not want them to do it. So an FO at SA could not upgrade at Republic? That does not seem right.

We can upgrade to any of the compaines; we just can go backwards.

Whats so great about the 170?? It's not about the plane. I'd take my old ALG contract and a Dash 8 over the 170 any day. Don't get me wrong its a good plane escecially from a pax POV. From a pilot POV its very good also and getting better as the software gets worked out. But like i said before, its not all about the plane, you guys should know that.

Six you're a man of class. I'm excited for the guy too. And I wasn't calling Bpilot out. I was coming to his defense. I just think some guys think that putting a plane on your profile that you've yet to fly is 'bragging' I guess. I'm NOT one of those guys. Good luck Bpilot. Enjoy the hell outta that thing.

It is my understanding that the Republic certificate will have the Delta 170's on it. Therefore, IF there are ever 90 seat aircraft being flown by Republic Airways Holdings they can not go on the Republic certificate because the language in the Delta contract does not allow them to fly anything larger then the 70 seaters.

From what I hear, The E190's will be on SA certifacate. If UsAir emerges from Bankrupsy CHQ is has the option to buy and fly 10 E190's for Airways.

Who cares! Lets work on getting better pay and work rules to fly these airplanes. Listen, the glory of flying this airplane with wear off in about 2 months, then it will be all about the pay check & QOL. Many people at PDT didn't go to MDA because with our work rules and pay credit, we make more money flying Dash 8's (fos') then the EMB 170... sad, very sad. Cheap labor has finally made it to the big aircraft..
Gotta love the profession we have chosen, everyone running around with knives lookin to stab our fellow aviators in the back once there head is turn..!! And for what?

Hey, don't slam a guy because he is excited about flying a great airplane. However, you SHOULD slam a guy who elects to fly with GoJet or Freedumb or one of those slimey operations. If you haven't noticed, this industry is going to he!! already with JetBlue and Alaska and Netjets all lowering the bar - but we've talked about that infinitum.... We should be focusing our anger on GoJet and similar attempts to weaken our labor position.

Makes me wonder how at 1600 hours some people think they have all the answers. Come on now, don't let back, tell us all with your vast wisdom and years in this industry how its gonna be.
