I was wondering the same thing. Being on the Saab we don't have to use that procedure too often. Funny that the rule they put in for security backfired a bit. At least if the guy was a terrorist knocking on the cockpit door he would have had to go through the FA in order to take over control of the aircraft. :D
 
Dude did right by asking to leave the frequency to call Bedford because he thought a terrorist was coming in?

F/O = fired, for opening door after level 4
CA = fired, for giving password to PAX

F/A = fired, for not telling the F/O not to do it.

Once the TSA gets hold of this, it'll be a bloodbath. It could extend to the CHQ training department for not emphasizing security in recurrent.
 
Agreed. This will probably not end well for the crew. All on tape to be analyzed by anyone with an unhealthy interest in flight deck access.
