Look for an announcement VERY soon about new code share with United flying 170's and 145's. Republic is back and will now operate out of Indy instead of SDF. Will be certified by the end of the summer. How do I know. Was in Indy today and let's just say it is not a big secret. People that have been working on CHQ only business now are working solely on RP business.

Get used to it: Chautauqua will be Republic.

I have no basis in fact for this, other than our holding company is Republic Airways.

I had a Fed in the jumpseat out of IND on Friday. He was commuting home for the weekend. He confirmed that republic was now based in IND and putting EMB170s on the certificate. He didn't/couldn't say how many or for whom.

Well, maybe you should pay more attention to those petty spelling things, especially if you're going to smack someone down for grammar.

Got to love me some crow.

Flyforfood- You may be interested to know that MAA now is the leader for low 70-seat wages - not Mesa. MAA captain rates are $58/hr. This negotiated by UsAirways MEC. Are you saying that they don't have a backbone too? But please, keep up the bashing. It only helps management.

First year CHQ 70 seat rate - $53.55
First year Mesa 70 seat rate - $53.86
First year Skywest 70 seat rate - $56.03
First year Mesaba 69 seat rate - $58.19
First year ASA 70 seat rate - $60.20
First year Comair 70 seat rate - $63.79

Looks to me like the MAA guys did pretty well.

Not sure if this has been hashed over a bunch or not. But, is republic and chautauqua now under the same union (and seniority list).

Dointime,

That is the key, there aren't any 1st year 70 seat Capts at ASA or Comair---so those airlines are at a disadvantage compared to MAA flying their EMB-170. Got it yet? They will have something like 40 EMB-170s by the end of the year(?), and the combined salary of both the Capt ($58 an hour) and FO ($35 an hour) will not equal a Comair 70 seater Capt's (around $100 an hour?). That is beginning to sound a lot like the comparisons between Delta and United pilots........yikes....

Bye Bye---General Lee:rolleyes:

Yes, all flying by Republic Airlines will be done with pilots from the Chautauqua Airlines Pilot Seniority List.
