I am working on getting an interview and have some questions. Here goes. Thanks in advance
How long would you quess it would take to upgrade to captain?
Is ChiEx commuter friendly or do they expect you to live in Chicago?
Is it fairly easy to jumpseat on Southwest to get to Midway if I'm not coming from a city ATA serves.
Do captains get on with a variety of majors(Airtran, UPS,...) or mostly ATA?
Benfits? Insurance? Paid vacation after a year? Two? ATA passes?
Growth? New destinations? More pilots? Move up seniority quicker? I've read ATA is doing very well lately.
Any other info you think may be helpful please include.
From the limited amount I've heard it sounds like a descent place.

18-24 months currently. If we get the new planes (fairly likely) it will be shorter, perhaps 12-18 months.

commuter friendly within reason, every month they try to make an applicable number of trips good for commuters and in general do ok. likely 30-40% of our pilots commute.

very easy.

historically CEX pilots have gotten on everywhere, but right now most go to ATA, with some to SWA... simply because of the market.

Dental / Health / Vision. 2 weeks vacation after a year. 6 passes a year, plus unlimited free travel on ATA for spouse, children, parents, or long term companion.

We are doing ok, although we need to continue to improve.

It is.

Any info on pay scales? Anything new on larger aircraft? New routes? How do people like it there? Are trips mostly over nights? Or out and backs?
