After Tahir (founder of Grand Aire) crashed, his wife didn't take over, she remained as the marketing executive. Art, who was the COO became the CEO. He just dies from complications of Diabetes. Tahir's Ex-Wife, Katrina (Co-Founder of Grand Aire) is now the interim CEO.

Ga

I worked for Grand Aire for several years. Flew everything except the Hansa.

TC had it comin.

I had some friends who worked for Cherry Air back when I was at GA. They used to undercut us, which was scary. But I have heard that things are much better there now.

Freight is a great way to build time and not work for the slave wages of the commuters. You can easily make 50-80k as a cpt at many of the cargo companies. As an FO you will almost certainly start out at least in the mid 30k range which is twice as much as a regional.

You should look at USA Jet also.

I work at an FBO and see Cherry air quite abit, especially lately. Ive talked with a lot of there pilots and overall it seems like a great place to have a good flying job and build time. Im hopping to be knocking on there door sometime soon so i can head back to Texas.
