You know, as much as an a$$hole as this guy seems to be, he's not that far off the mark here. I'm in the top third of the master RP seniority list, livin' the dream on the 140. (yes, I was being facetious) I'm already hearing about 170 first officers who profess a personal affront when 145 FOs move to the left seat of the 170. As if the seniority list should be suspended just for them. (AirBill)


I'd love to see the faces of those diapered 170 FOs when Shuttle's Saab drivers are soon their Captains- What! you came from flying a turboprop, as if!!

Most E170 peeps at Shuttle are freight dogs or come from other 121 carriers...sorry to break the news to ya...but you'll find no diapered low time CFI's in the 170..."low time" guys go to the 145, but even those guys have a good amount of time...CHQ is getting plenty of apps. ATP mins are required to get a 170 interview. Lot's of FO's are from Chicago Express, Skyway, ACA, various 121 turboprop operators and J4J guys.

Yep, pay s#cks....but it's better than first year pay at Mesaba, Skywest, Pinnacle etc. It's a 70 seat A/C...no different than the CRJ 700....
