Let's also remember that there are other people in MKE losing their jobs. It's not just a pilot/IBT thing.
Once again the unsubstainable loses at Frontier cause more suffering at Republic.
I heard the rhetoric that the 12 E-145's were causing a substantial part of the lose but there is NO way 12 small rjs could possibly cause a 90million dollar loss for the year.. so please use logic if you feel the need to reply to post...
And please remember before the purchase of F9, Republic ALWAYS turned a profit.

Apparently, your definition of "quality" is a bit different than most of us. Of course , if you've never flown for a "quality" operation, then you'd be blissfully ignorant? This is a sad thing about this industry and a big misstep by BB. Republic was a quality and successful regional airline until BB tried to think outside the box and try something different with Frontier. The Frontier people seemed to resent it and fight against sucess from day one. It seems he should have just left Frontier to die on its own or let it be purchased and dismantled by Southwest.
Sad indeed

Now it seems the true regional Republic pilots trying to get a start in this industry will feel the pain as Frontier tries to take them with them on their final journey into oblivion.
Sad indeed
For a branded ops to work it has to be full-service, some international and transfer ff rewards from other airlines to get the loyal pax from other airlines.
He said "quality regional." As far as regionals go, this place wasnt bad. This place didn't start downhill until the F9/YX purchase around two years ago. Prior to that they were flush with cash and had a stock price in the $20 range. Now we see less than $3/share. Republic gave up around $150mm (or was it 120?) when they purchased F9. Many of us thought it was a terrible idea then and unfortunately we are being proven correct.
