I saw a piece from Thursday's Tacoma paper about job cuts at Alaska. 900 was the number they quoted. It also mentioned the 150 managers were part of the 900. I guess this was the unexpected "retirement" that Flx757 mentioned in another post.

Is the MEC making progress? or are the negotiations destined for arbitration?

Has the bid posted yet? and if so, where are the new hire vacancies? I doubt any holes remain in ANC...

The bid still isn't out yet. I'm guessing late this afternoon. I'm still sticking with my earlier WAG of 8-10 new hires going to ANC.

Looks like more than 10

Per others' posts, it looks like 6 on the 200 and 6 on the 400 in ANC. But these slots may not be trained until early next year. The great wait continues!

I just applied here. I'm a disillusioned NetJets pilot.. Any word about hiring? Any advise? Do you Alaska pilots like the company?
