This just released to us today. in part...

UAL-MEC Jumpseat Committee Chairman Jim Frank, in conjunction with the Company, today announced that an agreement between ALPA and the company has been reached regarding the carriage of unlimited offline jumpseaters. This agreement will be effective shortly, and represents a significant benefit to many United pilots. Currently, several carriers offer unlimited jumpseats but restrict that benefit to only those carriers that can offer reciprocal jumpseats. Once this new policy is in place, we will be able to participate in reciprocal agreements with those carriers. Combining this with the expanding list of CASS carriers, United pilots will have many more travel options for commuting and pleasure travel.

Stay tuned.

Great job, UAL pilots!

Although B6 has one of the best js policies in the industry, they were certainly NOT the first to offer unlimited jumpseats. Many carriers had that, way back before ol' David was trying to get a job with Morris.
You shouldn't get accolades for merely doing the right thing, even if others don't.

Edit:
Sorry, I was momentarily distracted...

HEY!!! Thank YOU, UA Pilots!!!!

jbucpt, instead of pimping JB, just say, thanks.

Funny, ATA had unlimited jump seats for ten years before jetBlue's first flight. Vanguard had unlimited jump seats five years before jetBlue's first flight. America West had unlimited jump seats at least four years before jetBlue's first flight.

You can stop patting yourself on the back now.

Thanks UAL.

We already offer unlimited to many airlines... unfortunately not all that reciprocate in kind, but they're working on it.
