Anyone in the Champion Oct 5th? I was supposed to be in it, but do to family situation/low pay could not take the job. Got a weird call this past thursday asking if I was available for a December class apparently the class of 30 planned fell well short. If anything I thought I'd never hear from them again canceling a week before class, now they're all friendly and trying to convince me to be in a December class.

Are they that desperate?

CA wanted 18 so they put 20 in the class. Ended up with 14 and now are down to 13. Word is 4 in Dec sometime although not so sure about bases for those four. Pay sucks but the guarantee is more than many of the regionals first year pay. They have 16 B727's and that all.

but they fly really big airpl.......

Pilot Shortage

Another sign of the growing pilot shortage and the coming 2007 hiring boom.

Only at about 15 of the 176 airlines now hiring

USA JET hiring? I heard they have 8 or so openings?

Could be more

Funny, they may have more, lots of guys looking, lots of job out there.

Upgrade time is a bit of a question right now. Sometimes less than a year. Las is closing or closed. DFW is new.

That should be DFW is re-opening.
But then again the attrition rate was somewhere around 25% at the end of last year
