I know that Champion has been beat to death like a dead horse on this forum. But I do have a few questions that I need answered. Please, only current pilots or those who just left recently. Thanks.

1) Are you an employee on day 1? (i.e. are you getting monthly guarantee during training?)
-the reason I ask is because some airlines only pay per diem during training and you are not an employee until you pass the checkride. Which means you can't jumpseat home and are stuck for 2 months.

2) Is the training paid?

3) During training, do they provide lodging and SINGLE OCCUPANCY rooms?

4) When do health benefits begin?

5) Typically, how long is training and where is training done at?

6) Are they CASS?

If I recall correctly, you are paid per diem if you live in MSP(no hotel) or you get paid Guarantee with a hotel room provided..I made out better with taking the per diem and no hotel room because the per diem was tax free (I lived in MSP)

2) Is the training paid? Yes

3) During training, do they provide lodging and SINGLE OCCUPANCY rooms? Yes

4) When do health benefits begin? Day one I believe

5) Typically, how long is training and where is training done at? Approx. 2 months..Done at Pan Am Academy in Eagan, MN

6) Are they CASS? No..

Hope that helps...

1) Are you an employee on day 1?
Yes, you are an employee. If you have two or more days off from training, the company shall pay for you to go home @ least to the nearest NWA city.

(i.e. are you getting monthly guarantee during training?)

2) Is the training paid?
If you live within 50 miles of MSP, the rate is $50/day and that is taxable. If you live more than 50 miles from MSP the rate is $36/day per diem and hotel room.

3) During training, do they provide lodging and SINGLE OCCUPANCY rooms?
Yes.

4) When do health benefits begin?
30 day waiting period.

5) Typically, how long is training and where is training done at?
6 to 8 weeks, simulator is at Pam Am Flight Academy.

6) Are they CASS?
No, but should be on it way soon.
