I just took my CFI checkride 12/15. Here's what I had to go through.
First, in western Washington the FAA is starting to do 50% of the CFI checkrides...I was told that I was the first to fall under this new guideline. The oral followed this order. (I took it in a C172RG...the Cutlass, yea!)
Explain all about Certificates/Documents, maitenence requried.

Student pilot signoffs (all of them)
Quote from 61 (w/o looking) hours needed/breakdown for private, commercial, CFI and all privliges/limitations, including all maneuvers needed for each stage (pre-solo, solo, X-C).
Prepare/present lesson on short field takeoff and landing (make emphasis on performance tables! They like it.)
Weather information, and briefings.
The flight was pretty routine~
Short Takeoff, steep turns, slow flight, power off stalls, secondary stalls, chandelles, emergency approach to a field, turns around a point, normal landing, normal takeoff, go-around, soft landing...
