Aviation Instructor's Handbook
Cardinal is correct. That's the book I was talking about. You can find it at most all FBOs or any bookseller that sells aviation training materials. You can probably find it at Sporty's and pay retail.
I pinked my Commercial. The examiner wrote in my logbook, "Partial Commercial Pilot Flight Test." Probably writing in "XXXX Flight Test Unsatisfactory" isn't incorrect or illegal, but rather cold, in my opinion.
By the way, not all DEs who give CFI initials are easier than the feds. I know of one examiner in Scottsdale who is well-known for giving eight hour orals and two hour flights. Many people have to go back the next day to complete the flight because they are exhausted after the oral. It does help a little if you know the DE and have taken rides with him/her. The examiner usually will remember you and if you made a good impression, realizes what you know and may not be as tough on you otherwise.
