Don't laugh, FedEx has some 208's that still have the Cat II equipment in them. They were going to operate some Caravans with "specially trained aircrew", utilizing two pilots.Lead Sled said:Me thinks that they're feeding you a line of caca. You have to have 500 hours to fly Part 135 VFR and 1200 hours IFR. I'd like to know the name of the insurance company that's going to underwrite a 400 hour pilot in a Caravan. Perhaps the have a SIC program, but SIC in a single-pilot, single-engine airplane. Naw, they're feeding you a line of caca. How much money would this fantastic, too good to delieve, opportunity cost you?

Well, what are you waiting for? Get on it...sounds like a good opportunity. If you don't do it, I'm gonna have to...comander said:And the thing is that after 2 years you are almost secured for a chance in the ATR, and then they have their A-319 A-320 A-321 well it sounds stupid but ... who knows if it might be real. of course they might pay training for the atr and the other jets. weird and unusual I guess but not nesesarely false?
A big as it seems, that's a small ob-sta-cle...just keep plugging. Take the caravan gig when you get the time...it sounds like a good deal if quality of life and pay are decent. You'll enjoy the van and the move ups sound good as well.comander said:heheheh probably soon I just need to earn a little bit more cash to fly 300 more.
No problem...The Van is as safe as the pilots who fly it. Good luck and get-r-done.comander said:yep c208 a wonderful aircraft I would also love to fly the pilatus porter a miracle with wings![]()
