Could a Shares or NJA pilot tell me what kind of HSC Mach & fuel flows you normally see at FL430/450 in the Sovereign?

Thanks!

About 1500pph and 0.78...thanks!

That's a little better speed and a little higher fuel flow than what Cessna shows in their Sovereign Flight Planning Guide.

FL400 .78 820 per side
FL410 ,78 800 per side
FL430 .73 -.75 760 per side. HEavy weights, max speed will be .73
FL 450 never been there. TAS is greatly sacrificed. Only go there is you are trying to stretch it out. likley will only get .70 - .73

+1

FL430 is it's favorite altitude. If you're taking off heavy you won't see the far side of .73 for at least two hours. Towards the end of 4+ hour flight it will start creeping up to .78

Speed, handling, and ride are all lacking in this pig.

Say what you like but there are not many aircraft you can take off on a less than 4000 thousand foot runway and fly six or more hours. I think the aircraft hits it's sweet spot at 400 and 410

Compared to what, a Lear?

The difference between the Lear Mmo (.81) and the Sovereign (.80) is minimal. The major difference is climb speed and sustained cruise. The Lear will climb at 300/.78 and cruise at Mmo until you get over 450. The Sovereign climbs 250/.64-275/.72 and won't come near Mmo until you burn some fuel off.

The Sovereign handling is poor. The roll and yaw is very unresponsive when compared to Lears, King Airs/Barons, and even the Navajo.

The Sovereign ride is even worse. It's a very stiff wing. When the rest of you are reporting light chop we're getting moderate.

Well, the Sovereign *is* a Citation...compromising speed & ride for runway performance ain't anything new there!
