By the way FX comes with 3x3 gear. SS has standard, 3X3 as option. Wheel axle position for Beringer is same as standard but is 2 1/2" longer than standard gear depending on inflation pressure.

Looks fantastic and seem to be very well built. I wish I could get it directly from CC.

BTW, what's the price of the set? how much time did the installation require? Do you need a STC?

They are STC'd but not necessary for experimental airplanes, $10,600. About 2 days to install.

Here is the version history for the Beringer gear system.

Version 1 Beringer ALG - The system was introduced/announced around 2016. I got a set of version 1 struts in 2017. Documented a taxi cross wind low wing condition. Cross wind would lift the upwind wing compressing downwind strut and extending upwind strut. Opposite aileron would not level the wings at normal taxi speed. With crosswind there simply was not enough air flow over the wing to allow struts to level at full aileron throw. With sufficient airflow across aileron taking off and landing this was not an issue. Only during low speed taxi.

Version 2 Beringer ALG - Beringer "Anti-Roll" fix was introduced. This fixed the taxi low wing issue but the wheel camber issue issue was discovered. With the aircraft unloaded not in motion there was about a 2 degree camber issue for the wheel/tire assembly. Looking at wheels head on the top of the tires had about a 2 degree camber in. There was no impact on gear performance with this condition that disappeared during taxi with any airflow across the wings.

Version 3 Beringer ALG - Camber issue resolved by changing axle main gear attach block milling to remove 2 degree camber of main wheel. This is the current version (current shipping version). Wing low issue and camber issue fixed. No other outstanding problems.
