Very sad news. He was a great inspiration to me and many others whose lives he directly and indirectly touched. He will be greatly missed. Gods speed Denny!

Fitch was a down to earth guy and true hero. He did his job the best he knew how and helped save a bunch of lives.

He did it all professionally and without bagging on and degrading fellow professionals just because they fly smaller equipment like sully and his co-pilot did.
 
I saw Capt. Haynes talk on 232 back in the 90's. He showed pics of the ruts that the landing gear dug in the runway. I was running late, so I was the last one in the seminar. But it worked out good because I was one of the first to meet him and get his autograph afterwards.
