Al was my Little League coach, he was a great role model and now I'm fortunate enough to share a neighborhood with him. Part of what makes him a great man is his ability to pull people together to make something happen (remember Sioux City? He wasn't alone in that cockpit). The humility you must possess when asking for help keeps many from making the request, often with less than desireable results... Al isn't one of those types. He asked for assistance because it was the right thing to do...and his community rose to the occasion. We should admire such a humble man.
