We used to powerback the DHC-7s in BOS and DCA when I was with Pan Am Express, and the ATR and J-31s at the MX base in PNE.
 
In another life in a 55,000 ish turboprop we reversed all of the time.


One guy failed to keep his feet on the floor and got the airplane to squat ...

He was mangement ....

(BTW he had the integrity to bust himself.)
 
The ATR -42 and -72 had the ability at American Eagle to powerback at selected airports. Two wingwalkers and a marshaller with goggles were required if I remember right. And yes, FEET ON DA FLOOR, stop movement with application of forward thrust, only then use brakes.
