Can someone explain to me why 9e legacy pilots today swear that delta is going to absorb them into mainline delta?! Can you please stop feeding that story to the rest of the pilot group!

The same way they did with Comair???

Oh hell, I heard a pinch-a-nickle crew member swear they were getting the 717s. Where does this crap come from.

We still haven't defined "legacy" but I am "per-merger" and everyone I talk to walks with a head low and wondering what to do next as this weeks events shattered many hopes of a positive, or even neutral outcome. I sincerely hope this is localized. I know folks in all the bases at different seniority ranges and seats and haven't heard a peep of positive or relative hope. Only dreams stem in major's hiring (as in ALL of them).

Hate to say but I think Pinnacle is next with Delta holding the bank note. Look what they did to us! I was talking to a 9E captain that commutes out of my city and he pretty much agreed. Very sad indeed!

Think this is a sign of things to come. The majors let the regionals get too big and now they realize they want all the flying back!

Seriously guys...how do you think anything that can be construed as positive is going to happen before the bankruptcy judge says they can abrogate our contract? The world is coming to an end until that happens, then the company negotiates a better, but still crappy, contract and we vote. Then, and only then will anything be positive. The crappy part is that positive in this case is going to be less airplanes leaving.

What happened this week?

Who cares about performance!!! Who are you trying to impress now? Did you guys impress Phil? That's the problem with 9e pilots....

With the aerodata and crewtrac fiasco, it's becoming apparent that the "vastly superior" XJ management is no more adept at managing the basket case of a company we have now... at the same time, the hopes that the ATL 900 base closing wouldn't happen - well, it's definitely happening now that ASA is getting those planes.

I might be the first one to actually answer your question.

Because those 9e legacy pilots you may be referring to bypassed the flow-through agreement with NWA when they had the chance. Most of the first 150 or so pilots though making $35/hour sitting sideways on the cargo whale out of anchorage was not a good deal. Now of course imagine the talks they have with themselves at night.

So, I think it's more wishful thinking on their part. If Delta wanted a flow or wanted to absorb the 9e pilot group they would have kept the flow...not throw it away...

Are you referring to the XJ pilots?? Express I/Pinnacle, (which would be a 9E "legacy" pilot), never had any flow through with NWA.
